The 34th Alanya Triathlon Kicks Off: One of the world’s longest-running triathlon events, the Alanya Triathlon, has started for the 34th time. The organization, themed “One Step Away from the Halfway Point,” began with the Public Triathlon races, which delivered a thrilling day of competition and colorful moments.
Hosted by the Alanya Municipality, in cooperation with the Alanya District Governorship, the Turkish Triathlon Federation, and the Alanya District Directorate of Youth and Sports, the event brought together 130 athletes who competed fiercely while thousands of locals and tourists cheered them on.

The Heart of Sports Beats in Alanya
Taking place against the magnificent backdrop of Alanya, the race began with a 250-meter swimming stage. Athletes then cycled through a 5,000-meter biking route and finished with a 1,200-meter running stage.
The race was officially started by Turkish Triathlon Federation President Bayram Yalçınkaya, Alanya Municipality Advisor Abdurrahman Açıkalın, Federation Vice President Bülent Çendik, Organization Committee President Ender Baş, District Youth and Sports Director Emre Kıldırgıcı, and Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Alanya Branch Manager Gazi Öten.
At the finish line, medals and gifts were presented to the participants by Alanya Municipality Advisor Abdurrahman Açıkalın. The event not only showcased the unifying power of sports but also reflected Alanya’s vibrant and dynamic spirit.
