Antalya FoodFest: Antalya Residents Enjoyed a Three-Day Culinary Extravaganza. Hosted by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, the 4th edition of FoodFest Antalya International Gastronomy Festival brought together thousands of food enthusiasts under the theme of “Mediterranean Cuisine.” Held at the scenic Karaalioğlu Park, the three-day festival offered a feast for the senses with workshops, panels, cooking demonstrations, and local flavors.
⭐ Renowned Chefs Took the Stage with Flawless Presentations
The final day of the festival was nothing short of spectacular.
Famous chef Rafet İnce opened the stage with a unique grouper fish dish infused with local herbs and fruits from Antalya, earning applause from the crowd. Chef Özge Şahin, known for her “Zero Waste Kitchen” philosophy, crafted a vibrant plate using fava beans and couscous.

Chef Mehmet Özer highlighted the richness of Antalya’s citrus produce, stating, “This region is of great value to Turkish cuisine.” He also led a sesame guacamole workshop that drew significant attention.
Meanwhile, Chef Türev Uludağ presented a creative dish made from lionfish, an invasive species, promoting sustainable seafood practices.
He praised the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality for organizing such a valuable event and extended his thanks to Mayor Muhittin Böcek for supporting Turkey’s culinary scene.
👏 Massive Participation and Enthusiastic Feedback
Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Cansel Tuncer honored the chefs with plaques after their sessions, expressing gratitude for their contributions.
“We are incredibly happy with the public’s interest in our fourth FoodFest Antalya. For three days, we’ve witnessed a wonderful celebration of flavors in our city. As long as our people continue to show such interest, our gastronomy festival will keep growing,” she said.
🎓 Culinary Students Showcased Their Talents
FoodFest Antalya was not only a stage for top chefs but also a valuable platform for culinary students and aspiring professionals.
University students participated in various competitions and cooking shows, culminating in an intense inter-university cooking contest. Competing institutions included Akdeniz University, Bursa Uludağ University, Dokuz Eylül University, and Antalya Bilim University.
The jury had a tough decision as students impressed with traditional and creative dishes. Ultimately, Akdeniz University won the competition with their innovative presentations of Yeni Dünya Dolması, Mutancana Sarma, and Carob Baklava.

Throughout the festival, visitors had the chance to taste signature dishes from Antalya’s leading food brands. Local municipalities set up booths to promote their regional products, while the park was filled with the enticing aromas of authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
