Amsterdam to Alanya: The first direct flight from Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, to Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport successfully landed, marking a new milestone for Alanya tourism.
Operated by Tui Airlines Nederland, the aircraft carrying 184 passengers was welcomed with a traditional water salute ceremony and carnations. Throughout the summer season, two weekly flights are scheduled, totaling 32 flights.
This marked a historic step for Alanya’s tourism sector. The inaugural flight took place on the evening of July 22 at 20:45 and was met with great enthusiasm.

The traditional water salute greeted the aircraft, while carnations were distributed to passengers and crew members. The welcoming event featured local delicacies and symbolic gifts that highlighted Alanya’s cultural identity.
🌸 A Warm Welcome with Local Flavors of Alanya
The welcoming ceremony was attended by Abdurrahman Açıkalın, Advisor to the Mayor of Alanya; Burhan Sili, President of ALTİD; Ali Özgür Pehlivan, Director of TAV Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport; and other protocol members.
Açıkalın presented the flight crew with Alanya’s traditional sweets “S Pasta” and “Çiğirdik“, along with a handcrafted lapel flower made from silk cocoon. The event concluded with a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony to commemorate this special moment.
✈️ 32 Flights Scheduled for the Season
Tui Airlines Nederland will operate direct flights from Amsterdam to Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport every Monday and Thursday throughout the summer. Following this first successful flight, a total of 32 scheduled flights will take place until September 1, 2025.

“Under the leadership of our Mayor, Mr. Osman Tarık Özçelik, and in cooperation with ALTAV, ALTİD, and TAV Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport, we participated in international tourism fairs. Within just two months, we succeeded in securing direct flights from six different countries to Alanya.
This journey started with Denmark, followed by Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Slovakia, and finally the Netherlands. The Amsterdam flight arrived fully booked with 184 passengers. This is a significant achievement for our tourism industry.
