Alanya’s Cultural Heart Beats Strong with the 11th Student Theatre Festival. Organized annually by Alanya Municipality, the 11th Inter-High School Theatre Festival has officially begun with a spectacular opening at the Alanya Cultural Center (AKM).
Taking place between May 7 and 30, the festival will bring together 13 different theatre groups from local high schools, showcasing their talent on stage and offering a feast of art for theatre lovers.

The curtain opened with a breathtaking performance of King Oedipus by the Basamak Stage Team. One of the most powerful works of Ancient Greek literature, this play mesmerized the audience with its impressive acting and gripping storytelling.
👏 Standing Ovation for Young Talents
The performance by the Basamak Stage Team received great acclaim for its professionalism, stage presence, and emotional delivery. As the final curtain fell, the audience rose to their feet and applauded the young actors for several minutes without pause.
Following the performance, Alanya Deputy Mayor Murat Levent Koçak, Alanya Municipal Council Member İrem Yunusoğlu, and Alanya Municipal Theatre Artistic Director and Actor Fırat Onur Deniz took the stage to present certificates of participation to the students.

In his opening speech, Deputy Mayor Koçak stated:
“As the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, once said: ‘A nation without art is as though one of its lifelines has been cut.’ As Alanya Municipality, we strive to support all fields of art.”
