Alanya 8th International Children’s Festival Ends with a Spectacular Finale: A Reflection of Alanya as a Modern Global City

Alanya 8th International Children’s Festival Ends with a Spectacular Finale: The 8th International Alanya Children’s Festival, organized by Alanya Municipality, concluded with a spectacular finale after two days of strong participation.

Held as part of the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day celebrations, the festival once again demonstrated that Alanya is a modern, accessible global city with a high standard of living, both through its rich content and international participation.

Alanya Stands Out with International Events and Strong Infrastructure

The festival, now a well-established tradition, took place behind the Old Municipality Building and attracted visitors from across Türkiye and around the world. The crowded event area demonstrated that Alanya is not only a tourism hotspot but also a city with advanced urban planning, transportation infrastructure, and a dynamic social life.

With direct international access via Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport and additional global connectivity through Antalya Airport, the city offers convenient travel options. Its well-developed highway network, coastal roads, and efficient public transportation system ensure that getting around Alanya is easy, fast, and comfortable—a key factor in the success of international events like this festival.

A Multicultural Lifestyle with Global Participation

The festival stage featured performances not only from local groups but also from Alanya’s international resident communities. Children from different countries participated, emphasizing themes of friendship, unity, and cultural exchange.

This diversity reflects Alanya’s identity as a multicultural and globally integrated city, making it an attractive destination for both residents and investors from around the world.

Fun and Educational Activities for Children

Throughout the festival, educational workshops and activity zones attracted significant interest from children. The event showcased Alanya’s family-friendly lifestyle and high living standards.

Children enjoyed balloon parks, interactive mascots, and creative workshops, while visitors also had the opportunity to experience local Alanya cuisine at various food stands.

Cultural Heritage Meets Modern Living

The festival also introduced children to traditional Yörük culture. Activities included the “Gübüdük” and the UNESCO-recognized “Uçan Koçan” game, which is listed in Türkiye’s National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

These elements highlighted Alanya’s unique ability to blend cultural heritage with modern urban life.

A Colorful Finale Reflecting the City’s Energy

The event reached its peak with a performance by DJ Ender Orak, followed by a vibrant color festival inaugurated by Municipal Advisors Faruk Konukçu and Nazmi Zavlak. Families, children, and young people celebrated together, reflecting Alanya’s energetic, youthful, and socially active atmosphere.
